Course Summary:

Pain is a major criterion for a patient’s appraisal of how good their dentist is. Attendees will learn how to give injections with no pain, no lag time, no collateral numbness and no failures.


Course Objectives:

  • Review of anatomy, pharmacology and pain
  • Learn the different types intraosseous delivery systems
  • Discover why osteocentral anesthesia is superior to conventional infiltration anesthesia
  • Learn how to give pain free intraosseous injections
  • Save time and become more efficient and serene in your practice

Speaker: Dr. Kari Badwi, DDS, Cert Ped Dent, FRCDC


Dr. Badwi was born and raised in Calgary, AB. After receiving her dental degree from New York University in 2004, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency in Buffalo, NY, followed by two years of postgraduate studies at The Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, where she received her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. She returned home in 2007 and opened her private community practice specializing in Pediatric Dentistry.


Currently, Dr. Badwi is the Division Chief for Pediatric Dentistry for the AHS Calgary zone.
